Wie ihr wisst LIEBE ich Animal Prints. Der Schlangen-Print ist seit Jahren definitiv einer meiner Favoriten, da er super stylish und classy ist. Neulich habe ich einen Tag in LA verbracht und  meine liebste Snake-Print Hose musste natürlich mit. Ich zeige euch hier aber nicht nur den Look, sondern gebe euch auch ein paar Tipps, wie ihr den Schlangen-Look mastert.

 

EN | As you know, I LOVE Animal Prints. The snake print is definitely one of my favorites since years because it’s super stylish and classy. A while ago I spent a day in LA and of course, my favorite snake print pants had to come along. I’m not only gonna show you the look here but also give you a few tips on how to master the snake print look.

 

1. Bleibe beim Schlangenmuster

Der Schlangen-Print ist ein sehr auffälliges Muster, das für sich alleine stehen kann und sollte. Vermeidet den Mix mit anderen Mustern, insbesondere andere Animal-Prints. Eine Ausnahme ist z.B. ein dezentes Polkadot-Muster, das mir persönlich zu Schlangen-Print sehr gut gefällt, aber doch recht gewagt ist. Auf der sicheren Seite seid ihr aber wenn ihr einfach beim Schlangenprint alleine bleibt.

 

EN | Snake print is a very striking pattern that can and should stand alone. Better avoid mixing it with other patterns, especially other animal prints. An exception is for example a cute polka dot pattern, which I personally really like with snake print, but it’s definitely a little “riskier”. You’re definitely on the safe side with just the snake print alone.

 

2. Zeige Mut zur Farbe

Auch wenn neutrale Töne super edel mit Schlangen-Print aussehen – ab und zu darf es schonmal etwas Farbe sein. Mein Tipp wenn ihr auffallen wollt aber es nicht ZU knallig mögt: Wählt eine Farbe die zur Farbe des Schlangen-Print Teils passt. Wenn ihr zum Beispiel eine Schlangenhose in Schwarz-Weiß tragt, wählt eine kalte Farbe wie Blau. Wenn eure Hose, wie meine, braun ist wählt eine warme Farbe. Ich habe wie ihr seht Orange gewählt.

My tip if you want to draw attention but don’t like it too bright: pick a color that matches the color of the snake print piece. For example, if you’re wearing snake print pants in black and white, pick a cool color like blue. If your pants are brown, like mine, pick a warmer color. As you can see, I picked orange.

 

3. Wählt Accessoires in Farben, die sich im Outfit wiederfinden

Da der Schlangen-Print wie bereits erwähnt sehr auffälliger ist, ist er eigentlich schon das Highlight des Outfits. Accessoires sollten daher idealerweise nicht allzu verrückte Farben oder Muster haben. Wähle bei den Accessoires daher am besten Farben die sich im restlichen Outfit wiederfinden. Das kann bei einer Hose wie meiner beispielsweise eine braune oder schwarze Tasche sein oder eine Tasche, die zur Farbe des Oberteils passt. Ich habe passend zu meinem Shirt eine Tasche in Orange gewählt. Bei den Schuhen bin ich dann bei schlichtem Weiß geblieben, anstatt eine komplett neue Farbe reinzuwerfen.

 

EN | Because the snake print is, as I mentioned before, a rather striking pattern it’s already the highlight of the outfit. Therefore, accessories ideally shouldn’t have crazy colors or patterns. Instead, pick accessories in colors that are repeated in the rest of the outfit. With pants like mine, it could be a brown or black bag or a bag that matches the color of the top. I picked an orange bag that matches the button-up. For the shoes, I stuck with simple white instead of throwing in a completely different color.

Das waren meine wichtigsten Tipps, wie ihr den Schlangenprint trendy kombiniert. Viele von euch sagen mir in den Kommentaren oft, dass sie eher auf neutrale Teile stehen und sich nicht an auffällige Muster rantrauen. Aber keine Sorge, denn es muss ja nicht direkt eine super auffällige Hose wie bei mir sein. Ihr könnt euch auch langsam herantasten, indem ihr Snakeprint-Schuhe oder Accessoires wie Tasche oder Gürtel zu einem simplen Jeans und Bluse-Look kombiniert.

 

EN | Those were my most important tips how to combine snake print pieces. Many of you often leave me comments saying that they prefer neutral pieces and are a little scared to wear patterns. But don’t worry, it doesn’t have to be snake print pants like mine. You can approach this trend slowly by combining snake print shoes or accessories like a bag or a belt with a simple jeans and shirt look.
